A Plan Built Around You
Medical weight management is not one-size-fits-all. Your clinician will consider your medical history, current medications, previous weight-management efforts, health risks, and personal goals when discussing available options.
The objective is to develop a sustainable plan based on your individual needs, not to promise a particular medication, amount of weight loss, or treatment result.
What Your Evaluation May Include
Review of your medical history, current medications, and prior treatment
Discussion of your weight-management goals and previous efforts
Evaluation of relevant health risks and possible contributing factors
Review of available laboratory results or additional testing when clinically appropriate
Nutrition, physical-activity, sleep, and lifestyle considerations
Discussion of potential treatment options, benefits, risks, and alternatives
Referral or additional evaluation when appropriate
Prescription Treatment When Clinically Appropriate
Prescription medication may be considered as part of an individualized weight-management plan. This may include GLP-1 medication when the treating clinician determines that it is medically appropriate.
Medication is not appropriate for every patient. The clinician will consider your medical history, current medications, contraindications, potential risks, and monitoring needs before making any prescribing decision.
Scheduling a consultation does not guarantee that a GLP-1 medication or another prescription will be recommended. Medication selection, dosing, titration, and continuation remain under the independent professional judgment of the treating clinician.
Ongoing Care And Monitoring
If treatment is started, your clinician will establish a follow-up and monitoring plan based on the treatment selected, your response, and your individual health needs.
Ongoing care may include:
-
Review of progress and treatment response
-
Monitoring for side effects and safety concerns
-
Adjustment of the treatment plan when clinically appropriate
-
Laboratory testing when indicated
-
Continued nutrition and lifestyle support
-
Referral or discontinuation of treatment when appropriate
Treatment may be modified, paused, or discontinued based on your response, side effects, laboratory findings, safety considerations, or changes in your health.
