Support Through Perimenopause and Menopause
Changes in menstrual patterns, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep, mood, libido, vaginal comfort, energy, or overall well-being may occur during the menopause transition. These symptoms can also have other causes, so care begins with an individualized clinical evaluation.
What Your Evaluation May Include
Current symptoms, menstrual and reproductive history, and health goals
Personal and family medical history and relevant risk factors
Current medications, supplements, and prior hormone treatment
Review of available records or laboratory testing when clinically appropriate
Discussion of treatment options, potential benefits, risks, and alternatives
Personalized Treatment Decisions
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for every patient. If treatment is being considered, your clinician will review relevant contraindications, individual risk factors, expected benefits, potential risks, alternatives, and monitoring needs.
Your care plan may include lifestyle recommendations, additional evaluation, prescription treatment, nonhormonal options, or referral when clinically appropriate.
Follow-Up When Clinically Appropriate
If ongoing care is recommended, your clinician will determine the appropriate follow-up schedule and monitoring plan. Treatment may be adjusted or discontinued based on your response, safety considerations, laboratory findings when applicable, or changes in your health.
Important Information
A consultation does not guarantee hormone therapy, another prescription, or a particular outcome. All clinical decisions are made by the treating clinician using independent professional judgment.
